For many many years, I’ve been told that I tell the best stories, and in the funniest of ways. Friends and family have always let me know how much my life feels like a movie. I actually believe that all our lives are like movies, because movies are merely life on the screen. It’s the way we choose to emote and share those moments that determine whether to not they sound momentous.

Well here at Storytime With Sakinah you’ll find a collection of some of my favorite stories to share. And believe you me, there’re so many more where that came from.

 
Sakinah Iman

Sakinah Iman is a Caribbean-American 23x International Award Winning-Filmmaker, Multi Award-Winning Actress and Certified Health Educator of Jamaican and Garifuna descent, from Brooklyn, NY. For over 15 years, Sakinah has performed on stages throughout the country and internationally, devoting her artistic abilities to creating art that engages audiences in sociopolitical change - using theatre arts such as spoken word, comedy, drama, and music. Sakinah has written, produced, directed, and starred in multiple short films, of which, won 23 Best Short Film Awards, selected and placed in a total of 57 film festivals worldwide. Sakinah currently has one of her films, “He Wants To Know My Number,” licensed by a major television network, Showtime-ViacomCBS.
